Artist Statement:
I paint because I love to create. I love to capture the beauty and emotion of the world around me. I love to explore different colors, shapes, textures, and techniques. I love to challenge myself and express myself through my art. Painting is my way of communicating with others and with myself.
My paintings are reflections of my experiences, my feelings, and my imagination. They are influenced by my background as a landscape architect and contractor, as well as by my travels and hobbies. I enjoy painting outdoors, where I can observe and interact with nature. I also like to paint from photographs, sketches, or memory, where I can add my own interpretation and creativity.
I work with various mediums, such as acrylics, oils, and mixed media. I like to experiment with different tools, such as brushes, palette knives, sponges, or fingers. I like to vary my style, from realistic to abstract, from loose to detailed, from calm to energetic. I like to create contrast, harmony, movement, and depth in my paintings.
My paintings are expressions of my personality, my mood, and my spirit. They are invitations for viewers to join me in my journey of discovery and joy. They are my way of saying: this is who I am, this is what I see, this is what I feel.
