With this image, I wanted to depict a California coast with a deep bowl-like composition. I  love when an image can take a viewer and place them in an interesting point of view. In this composition, you are above the ocean, looking down, surrounded by soft grasses and flowers. Some of the artists I am inspired by are California Plein Air painters and their traditional renderings of the scenery which surrounds them.  Although I am a studio artist, you can see the inspiration for plein air painting style in this piece.
