Andrew Bentson is a contemporary American artist who creates vibrant and expressive landscape paintings. Born in Argentina in 1982, he moved to the United States at a young age and developed a deep appreciation for the natural environment. He studied landscape architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, and worked as a landscape contractor for several years before discovering his passion for painting in 2020.
Inspired by the works of masters such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso, Andrew Bentson explores the dynamic interplay of light, color, and texture in his paintings. He uses a variety of techniques, such as impasto, glazing, and scumbling, to create rich and layered compositions that capture the essence and mood of different places and seasons. His paintings are often based on his own photographs or sketches, which he transforms into abstracted and stylized representations of nature.
Andrew Bentson has exhibited his paintings in several galleries and fairs, such as Ahmad Shariff Art Gallery, Artsy, and Art Basel. His artworks have been praised for their originality, vitality, and beauty, and have attracted collectors from around the world. He currently lives and works in Claremont, California, where he continues to experiment with new forms and expressions of landscape art.
