This painting is a small tribute to the oldest bookstore of the great metropolitan city of Karachi. Established in 1945 in one of the busiest streets of the city,  Pioneer Book House has seen the partition of the subcontinent, the rise of the literary society of Karachi and the downfall of the culture of book reading due to technological advances.
