In order to win this infamous game, the roosters fight, one of the roosters should kill the other one with his claws and beak. The victory is baptized with the blood of the defeated one. In life, the concept is the same, because winning the power only happens by eliminating the opponent. In the series: The Clash of Roosters, I depicted beautiful birds, cocks, in a situation that is rarely to be seen in; the status of fight. The series represent a symbolic approach of the main theme in our live: Struggle for survival, or struggle for power. This battle of cocks is a common bloody game in many countries, in which the crowd bet on two roosters fighting each other. There will be one winner and one loser, which always the loser is dead. The project consists of many paintings in which I show many colorful roosters fighting each other in very antagonistic and aggressive way. The survivor has to keep some feathers at the end of the combat to celebrate the frenzies of delight of victory. However, is it a real victory? A victory at the expense of many victims...But, who are the victims?
