This work is from a series of art titled ‘Woman in Boxes’ in which I create a piece with humor, pathos and some grace, to tell of some of the challenges of being a woman in time and throughout time. This piece is about how we woman can honor our female ancestors by emerging from the restrictions of the past and have self determination.
