This piece was started after I lost my beloved kitty. The colors and movement started to carry a weight off my shoulders. It was becoming an endless painting of the sea, that is until my other cat decided to lay down in front of me and just stare at me wallowing in my sorrow. I had previously sculpted her face, and decided to make a mold as cast many colors and patterns of her face. Her pose mimicked the endless sea painting. I placed the face in the upper left corner, and it became a portrait of my kitty, Honey.
