Submerge is a group of four pieces from a collection called “The Art Of Motherhood, Unseen Realities “ by Nicky Backlund. The body of work is intended to bring to the forefront the realities of being a mother, acknowledging the emotional roller coaster that we experience and live daily, which often goes unseen or misunderstood. Submerge speaks for itself really and is representative of that sinking feeling we can all get when trying to cope with all that motherhood throws at us.
